The Shining Sea Bikeway

 The Shining Sea Bikeway was recently expanded to 10.7 miles and runs from County Road in North Falmouth, past Chase Road just steps from The Beach Rose Inn, all the way to the Steamship Authority’s Ferry terminal in Woods Hole, a historic seaside fishing village and the site of several major research institutions.

 Built along the tracks of the Old Colony Railroad which connected Woods Hole to Buzzards Bay in 1872, The Bikeway offers visitors a recreational opportunity surrounded by outstanding scenery which includes cranberry bogs, marshes, ocean inlets, forested areas, and beaches.  To see a map highlighting the many special features of The Shining Sea Bikeway click on the picture of the sign below:
